CANDIS + PHILLIP || SECOND SHOOTING A WEDDING
I had the opportunity to assist as a second shooter for this absolutely stunning wedding in Lytle Creek. For those that may not know what a “second shooter” is, it basically means I am assistant to the main photographer for the event. I had wanted to more gain experience in wedding photographer and Stephanie from Nea’s Photography allowed me to follow her around like a lost puppy for the day.
The venue itself was gorgeous - huge windows, open spaces, lots of light, and a outdoor ceremony area.
Candis got ready in a gorgeous bridal suite with her bridal party. She was almost ready when we arrived and was just waiting for us to do some final touches and put on the dress.
When I first walked into the bridal suite, I was in awe of this beautiful red and gold dress that was hanging right in front of us. We took a few photos of her getting her hair done, putting on her dress and jewelry, and a first look with her dad before going to grooms side of the venue.
We got a few pictures of Phillip with some of his groomsmen helping him get ready and then went outside to wait for the couple to arrive to sign the Ketubah before the ceremony started.
Candis’s mom was crying saying she felt the presence of her dad with them.
The whole ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom were absolutely breathtaking. I mean, c’mon. This couple could be on the covers of magazines! After the ceremony, we set out for a few poses with the couple and then made way to a nearby ranger station to take photos with the family and rest of the wedding party.
