That’s exactly what happened when Derik, one of my oldest friends from middle school, reached out to plan the surprise proposal of a lifetime for his high school sweetheart, Ashley. And let me tell you, capturing this was one for the books! 🌅💍

The day started with the perfect cover story. Ashley thought she was headed to a casual dinner with her sister, but little did she know, Derik had something far more magical planned. As the sun began to dip behind the horizon at Crystal Cove State Park, I was hiding just a few feet away in a bush, camera in hand, ready to capture every moment.

Derik had gone all out. There were twinkling lights set up off the edge of a cliff, adding a dreamy, golden glow to the scene. It was the ultimate romantic setting, and as Ashley walked up to see Derik waiting, you could feel the anticipation in the air.
