JOHNSON FAMILY || STONE CREEK PARK || FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS
Emma and her husband Garrett contacted me about photographing their family for a maternity photo shoot. They wanted to include their 1 year old daughter in the photo session. We went to Stone Creek Park in Flower Mound, Texas on a slightly overcast Saturday afternoon - and it was crowded! There were so many other photographers there in all of the locations I had scouted out. So our plans changed a little as we walked around to find some new spots to take their family photos.
Taking photos with a one year old can sometimes be difficult.
As most people can guess, one year old are not always the most excited to sit still for photos. In this photo, Dad helped her by tickling her! Eventually, we had to break out the pacifier and even let her calm down in her stroller for a few photos.
However, this is a great example of why doing photos with young children can be the most fun! You never know how many smiles, how many smiles and messy faces or all those giggles will you get, but it is usually worth it!!
Although this session may not have gone perfectly, the Johnson family now has a beautiful album to remember these moments in their life.
